Not sure what you want to major in? The undeclared major is the perfect place for you to start.

As an undeclared major, you'll have the opportunity to explore various academic and personal interests, as well as career options, until you have a better understanding of some of the fields you may be interested in. The undeclared major at Springfield College will give you a "home" before you declare a permanent major.

Through the Exploration: In a Major Way, a required course for undeclared students, you'll learn how to apply active learning strategies for academic success, engage in major and career exploration, and gain an appreciation for service and leadership.

Working with specially trained advisors, you will go through a process of exploration and decision-making that will help you to make an informed decision about the academic program that is right for you. You'll also have the opportunity to choose a track that best meets your area of interest. The track program will allow you to explore major and career options while staying on track for completing degree requirements in a traditional four-year program. Learn more about the tracks.

After advising and some exploration, you'll declare a major by the end of your sophomore year (fourth semester) at Springfield College.
